Modern day witchhunt

I understand the need to have a more aggresive approach to people that may cause harm to others, as in the case of Cho Seung-Hui. If we as a society are not careful though, we could be setting ourselves up for the next Salem witch hunts. I have already heard that two student at two different colleges have been arrested due to their opinions of what happened at Virginia Tech. I also understand that a young guy, looking to get a rise out of a class full of peers, might just say something, thinking he is funny, which he is not, or thinking he might impress someone with his "bad boy" attitude. We have to be really careful and not get out of control with our accusations. That being said, we all need to be equally aware of those around us, and maybe talk to someone who we would usually not pay any attention to. Add a friendly hello to someone you might usually ignore, and remember we are all neigbors, even if we don't want to be.
